As a Senior Low Level Engineer at Bold, you will be working on the core of our AI-powered, next-generation endpoint agent. Your work will tackle the modern endpoint challenges of securing endpoint AI tools and AI agents while interfacing directly with AI models to power detection capabilities. You will dive deep into OS and application internals and build software that runs on our largest customers’ endpoint devices.
This role is for you if you want to work on difficult, unsolved challenges at the intersection of low level software and modern AI security challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop core components of our endpoint security solution in Rust, taking end-to-end ownership from design and implementation through to monitoring and optimization.
- Research and work with OS and application internals across multiple platforms.
- Work across multiple operating systems to build cross-platform solutions.
- Optimize code for performance, efficiency, and minimal system footprint.
- Build modern security solutions for AI tools and AI agents.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of low-level development experience in a systems-level language such as Rust, C, or C++
- Deep understanding of operating system internals and how applications interact with the OS layer
- System research, including reverse engineering, is a significant advantage
- Strong focus on performance optimization and building software with a minimal footprint
- Experience with Windows internals is a strong advantage
- Experience with kernel development is an advantage
- Strong ownership, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines
